Currently a licence allows 250,000 Barramundi fingerlings to be stocked in Lake Awoonga each year, with numbers fast approaching 3 million stocked fish. It has by far the most active stocking program of any Barra dam in the country, thus providing a brilliant and extremely challenging fishery but incredibly rewarding.
